Charcuterie is one of our main passions at The Piggy Market.  Charcuterie is defined as the branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products, including sausages, bacon, ham, pates, terrines, rillettes, confits, salumi, and more.

Made In House – Once a week, we create a pate, terrine,  or rillette focusing on our own love of the craft.  Some other in house items are:

In addition to our own creations, we work with some of the best producers in the province for a selection unparalleled in most grocery stores.  Our main producers are:

Seed To Sausage – Located in Sharbot Lake, just north of Kingston, Mike MacKenzie and his team are devoted to the craft.  Our current selection from them includes:

  • Bacons, including old fashioned hickory, black pepper and molasses, and peameal
  • Dry Cured Fermented Sausage, either Saucisson Sec or Chorizo
  • Smoked Duck Breast

Dolce Lucano – Located in Woodbridge, just north of Toronto, John and Paola have been crafting traditional and their own varieties of sensational salumi for over 20 years:

Niagara Food Specialties – Located in Niagara Falls, Mario Pingue and his “Pingue Prosciutto” have been at the forefront of Ontario’s prosciutto industry for the past 10 years. :
