Jamaican Patties

Warren, one of the owners, is Jamaican, and has been longing to make his own patties for a while now. Never having done it, but knowing what the flavours should be, the patties at The Piggy Market started in August of 2009. They are made fresh, with local ingredients, and hand made pastry.

At the moment, we carry three flavours of Jamaican Patties:

Beef Patties: Using O'Brien beef, seasoned traditionally, with scotch bonnet peppers.

Curry Chicken Patties: Jerk Rotisserie chicken, with Dave's Curry Powder.

Calaloo and Potato Patties: Calaloo locally grown by Colin Samuels at Jambican Studio Gardens. These are a seasonal patty, and should return by the end of July.

Jamaican Patties are made every day of the week, coming fresh and hot out of our ovens at 2:30 pm.
