Fresh Ground Flour
In September of 2009 at the farmers market, Dave met a farmer named George. George is specializing in something that is not usual at all. He organically grows rye, spelt, oats, wheat, barley, and buckwheat. The really fun part was, George was bringing his grains whole to the farmers market, and milling flour on the spot for customers. As our conversation continued over the next month, it came out that George was looking for a space to mill over the winter; so we invited him in.
George will be at The Piggy Market on Sundays over the winter, from 11am to 3pm. He is very enthusiastic about what he's doing, and always willing to give information about his grains and the benefits of fresh ground flours.
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to lack of sales on Sundays, George will no longer be milling on site. We are currently setting up an order system, for pickup once a week. Check back next week to catch the update!
